Our History

  • 1977

    Founded by local advocates to provide vital resources and support to underserved Hayward communities.

  • 1994

    Launched Project New Start Tattoo Removal Program through a partnership with Kaiser Permanente.

  • 2002

    Eden Clubhouse becomes part of The Clubhouse Network, an international community of STEAM after school programs.

  • 2012

    Awarded a SAMHSA Drug Free Communities grant to promote substance use prevention in middle and high schools.

  • 2013

    Youth Employment Program launches to support youth involved in the legal system with job training and work experience.

  • 2015

    Join the U.S. Department of Education-funded Hayward Promise Neighborhood initiative led by Cal State East Bay.

  • 2020

    Partner with Urban Institute and Alameda County Public Health to advance vaccine and health equity during the pandemic.

  • 2023

    Awarded a SAMHSA Partnerships for Success Grant to reduce youth substance use by strengthening the local prevention ecosystem.
